



On August 21st, Professor Lee Keonha, Head of the Korea Global Office of JLBRI, visited the joint laboratory for an exchange and discussion on the establishment of the Korea Global Office. The meeting was attended by Professor Wu Yongfa, Dean of the Gold Mantis School of Architecture and Director of JLBRI, Professor Wu Yao, Deputy Director of the School and Deputy Director of JLBRI, and Guo Hengjie, Lecturer of Historic Architecture and Heritage Conservation Research Group. The discussion was chaired by Deputy Dean Wu Yao.
During the meeting, both parties signed the Agreement on the Establishment of the Korea Global Office of the China-Portugal Joint Laboratory for Cultural Heritage Conservation Science supported by the Belt and Road Initiative. Director Wu Yongfa presented the letter of appointment to Professor Lee Keonha.
Professor Lee Jianhe expressed his deep impression of the extraordinary research capabilities demonstrated by the joint laboratory. He looked forward to working together to tackle key technologies and challenges in the field of cultural heritage conservation. The Korea Global Office will fully cooperate to complete its tasks and actively explore new ideas and methods in subsequent work, contributing to the high-quality development of the laboratory.
Director Wu Yongfa pointed out that JLBRI is committed to conducting high-level scientific research cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road, and promotes the transformation and sharing of research outcomes. He hopes that the Korea Global Office can play a bridging role to help JLBRI become an international platform for multidisciplinary innovation and resource sharing in the field of cultural heritage conservation science.
