Exchange

JLBRI's Exchange Bases, consisting of research bases, research centers, study bases, and global offices, extend the infrastructures, research resources, and talents beyond campus and research institutes, exploring with different entities for various forms of collaborations. Over the next one to two years, JLBRI plans to establish five to eight research bases, ten research centers, twenty study bases, and five global offices worldwide. The bases approved by JLBRI include Anhui Research Base, Shanxi Research Base, Xi'an Research Base, Fuzhou Research Base, National Indigenous Architecture and Cultural Heritage Research Base, Yangzhou Study Base, and Singapore Global Office.

Research Bases

The Research Bases aims to conduct basic and applied research, resource and cultivate technological talents, and support academic exchanges. They are significant platforms for theoretical innovation and enhancing research ability. The collaboration entities of Research Bases tend to be leading schools and research institutes in heritage conservation sciences.

Research Centers

The Research Centers are platforms for basic applied research for a specific research objective and academic exchanges. The collaboration entities of Research Bases tend to be leading schools and research institutes with featured research fields.

Study Bases

The Study Bases are platforms for the industrialization of research and education, publicity, and public education. The collaboration entities of Study Bases tend to be socially renowned companies or state-owned institutes with means for research, industrialization, and public outreach.

Global Offices

Global Offices are the platform for international exchanges and cooperation. The Global Offices aims to keep track of the latest developments in cultural heritage research of the designated region and establish an international expert database to connect with overseas experts in cultural heritage conservation. The Offices will also assist Soochow University in scientific research cooperation, global relations expansion, education, overseas alumni liaison, high-level talent recruitment, etc.
