JLBRI is a comprehensive open platform for cultural heritage conservation research and industrialization. Our interests can be briefly (but not Inclusively) described in four parts:
1. Cultural Heritage History and Theories
the cross-disciplinary research on architecture, humanities, and arts, focusing on the studies on the architectural forms, crafts, regional and geographical characters of typical heritage sites, highlighting the cultural heritage conservation theories on B&R regions
2. Cultural Heritage Conservation Technology
the cross-disciplinary research between architecture and material chemistry, focusing on the material analysis of heritage, the sustainable conservation and development of existing buildings and organic urban renewal, the restoration of heritage landscape and ecosystem, and the industrialization of heritage conservation research
3. Digital Conservation of Cultural Heritage
the research on the digital conservation of architectural and urban heritage, focusing on the data collection, storage, and conservation of digitalized cultural heritage, and the application of virtual reality on heritage conservation
4. International Education and Communication of Cultural Heritage Conservation
to vitalize international collaboration, and develop projects for the conservation and communication of the cultural heritage of the B&R regions, and to connect with NGOs such as World Heritage Institute of Training and Research for the Asia and Pacific Region (WHITRAP) of UNESCO for the international education of World’s heritage conservation
